Replacement UV Lamp for UV Guard SLT40

The UV lamp is an essential component of a UV water treatment system. UV-C light is used to inactivate microorganisms as water passes through a properly designed and operated UV treatment unit.

Over time, UV lamps lose their effective UV output, even when the lamp still appears to be working. For this reason, the UV Guard SLT40 lamp should be replaced every 12 months or 9,000 operating hours, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Replacing the lamp on schedule helps maintain the intended performance of your UV treatment system.

When Should You Replace Your UV Lamp?

We recommend replacing your UV Guard SLT40 UV lamp:

• Every 12 months or 9,000 operating hours, as applicable to the manufacturer’s recommendation.
• When the lamp reaches the end of its recommended service life.
• When required as part of your scheduled UV system maintenance.

Do not rely on the lamp continuing to illuminate as an indication that it is still delivering the required UV output.
