Melt Blown Poly Spun Sediment Filters are often called depth filters due to the thickness of string which is wound around the internal core. The micron sizing of these filters is defined as the micron size of the filter membrane at the core. There is a gradual increase in filter pore size as you move away from the core.

As water passes through the filter, larger particles are trapped before they reach the core. The design of the Melt Blown Poly Spun Sediment Filter means that as the filter ages, there is a gradual loss in water pressure.

The Coconut Carbon Block Filter contains activated carbon – often referred to as activated charcoal.

Contaminants in the water are attracted to the surface of the carbon through a process called adsorption (not absorption). These contaminants stick to the carbon, preventing them from passing. This allows the Coconut Carbon Block Filter to remove odour, chlorine, colour, heavy metals and other contaminants whilst improving water taste.

They are Ideal for removal of chlorine in town water applications or improving taste of tank water.
