Lead, arsenic, heavy metals and chlorine in the water are attracted to the surface of the carbon through a process called adsorption (not absorption). These contaminants stick to the carbon, preventing them from passing. This allows the Coconut Carbon Block Filter to remove potentially dangerous metals, chlorine and odor whilst improving water taste.

Sediment removal is also achieved in the Lead Removal Heavy Metals Coconut Carbon Block Filter. This particular Filter has a micron rating of 0.5 meaning that the majority of pathogens cannot pass through.
